Endorsement Calendar for the 2012 Elections

June, 2012 Primary/Election

1. First week of January 2012 ? EAC sends letter to June primary candidates
asking if they want to seek the WDRC endorsement and if so request
a WDRC questionnaire.

2. Candidate must return completed questionnaire by January 20, 2012.

3. EAC will meet on January 23, 2012 to review the returned questionnaires
and make its recommendations the CC.

4. The CC will review the EAC recommendations at it?s February 7, 2012
meeting and will confirm or change the EAC?s recommendations.

5. The EAC will announce at the February 23, 2012 general meeting, the
candidates who meet the requirements for a WDRC endorsement.
It will also ask for any other nominations from the WDRC members.
If there are other nominations, the EAC will send the questionnaires to all of the democratic candidates in that race and notify them of the time lines.

6. The Endorsement process will be held on the March 22, 2012 general
meeting. All qualified candidates will be asked to attend and speak. The EAC will ask the CC to revise the bylaws to allow the DWRC members
to vote for or against candidate endorsements at this meeting, rather than at a subsequence meeting.

November, 2012 Election

1. The EAC will meet on May 21, 2012 to determine which races the WDRC
should consider for endorsements. The EAC recommendations will be forwarded to the CC for their consideration at their June 5, 2012 meeting.

2. The CC will present its recommendations to the June 28, 2012
membership meeting. The EAC will ask for any additional endorsement
races from the members. If additional races are added, the EAC will send letters and questionnaires to those Democratic candidates in those races. Letters will be sent out on June 29, 2012. All questionnaires are to be completed and returned to the EAC by July 20, 2012.

3. The EAC will meet on July 23, 2012 to review the returned questionnaires
and send its recommendations to the CC.

Proposed Endorsement Calendar for the 2012 Elections

4. The CC will review the EAC recommendations and make any changes at
it's August 7, 2012 meeting. The EAC will then send notices to the candidates informing them of the WDRC endorsement meeting and any requirements they would have to meet to be eligible for the WDRC endorsement.

5. It is proposed that the WDRC have two (2) endorsement meetings
because of the expected length of the ballot.

The first endorsement meeting would be August 23, 2012 (a general membership meeting) and the second endorsement meeting would be a special endorsement meeting on September 6, 2012. The EAC and CC would decide how to split up the races and issues.

The WDRC would be asked to change the bylaws so that endorsement votes are taken on the same night as the endorsement meeting.
